One day, two seasons.

During the early morning hours of the 20th, the Tulsa area was pounded with heavy thunderstorms and flooding rains. I was up much of the night staring out the window and listening to the voice over the loudspeakers announce flash flood warnings. It was a good show.

Later that morning I met my college pal, Troy Knight and his parents for breakfast. It was like spring out, breezy, humid, stratus moving north, mild temperatures in the upper 60's  and lots of water from the overnight rain. After breakfast, we headed to Norman, to move into our apartments and get ready for the fall semester at school.

By the time we got to Norman, we crossed an apparent dry line. It was dry as a bone and temperatures were in the mid 90's already on a stifling southwest wind. That didn't help the move in process much.

From spring to summer in less than 100 miles.
